Protect Your Rights When Signing Owner's Estoppel Certificate

At some point during your lease term, the owner of the commercial property where you rent retail or office space may ask you to sign an estoppel certificate that could determine whether it can sell or refinance the property. But don't assume that the certificate is critical for only the owner.
