Organize Lease Definitions in One Place

If you don't organize your lease's definitions, you'll force those who read the lease to sift through page after page, looking for them. Disorganized definitions can lead to lease ambiguities; you might lose track of what’s been defined and then inadvertently define the same term again or leave out a definition entirely. What can you do to avoid this pitfall?

When drafting your leases, put all definitions of lease terms in one place, such as a glossary at the front of the lease or an index. This should help make your leases easier to read and understand!
