Make Arbitration Work for You

Many commercial leases include language about using arbitration in case any disputes arise between the owner and tenant. Arbitration often is viewed as a more economical, more private, and “friendlier” way to resolve disputes, compared to traditional legal action. But there can be some drawbacks to arbitration, especially if the language in the lease is worded vaguely or is not considered carefully up front.
