Limit Owner's Right to Terminate Lease After Casualty

If a fire, flood, hurricane, or tornado has damaged the shopping center or office building where you rent space, you may be worried about how you are going to continue operating your business until it has been repaired. But these damages can negatively affect your business over the long term if the casualty clause in your lease substantially limits the owner's obligation to fix them and allows it to terminate your lease instead.
