Dine-In Theater Could Become Main Attraction

AMC Entertainment Inc. is expanding its successful dine-in movie concept on the West Coast—through outsourcing. The second largest movie theater chain in North America has hired Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Corporate Retail Solutions to choose its new AMC theater sites in California and Washington.

AMC, which has about 380 theaters in five countries, is looking for 30,000-square-foot to 55,000-square-foot spaces at existing commercial properties, which it will retrofit for the theater-restaurant model. JLL is also scouting sites on which to build new theaters.
