2009: The Year of the Tenant

In a recent study released by Grubb & Ellis and the National Association of Realtors, analysts expect vacancy rates to peak somewhere in the neighborhood of 13 to 17 percent in the second half of 2009. As a result, tenants will be in a position to negotiate cheaper lease rates and upgrade to better space and amenities.
